I am from Sverdlovsk, USSR, neither of which any longer exists (it's Ekaterinburg, Russia now). Studied Math, Computer Science, and Education at Ural State, taught Math and Computer Science to kids of various ages, before and after graduation. Co-authored a few textbooks and educational software titles.

The Soviet Union collapsed within three months of my moving to the States (hey, correlation and causation are not the same thing). Programmed for an insurance company in Nebraska, then The Learning Company in California, founded and sold two startups and until recently was doing engineering management in Silicon Valley.

I was born in Cleveland, OH. Studied English literature, Russian and Computer Science at Ohio State University. I have released a few apps for the iPhone and iPod Touch under the company name The Polypeptides.

My brother and I were fortunate to grow up in the video game industry. Since 1967 our family has operated a coin-op amusement route in northern Ohio. The days of arcade games has come and gone, but we still operate jukeboxes, cranes, and the Megatouch bartop games.

I want to thank my brother and my wife for all of the invaluable suggestions that they have made while Pixo was in development.
